Artistic gymnastics is the olympic discipline performed on apparatus. It builds strength, power and endurance, coordination and balance, flexibility and body control, courage and the ability to work with fear, discipline and concentration. It lays a physical foundation that carries over into every other sport a child may choose.
And it is one of the very few gymnastics disciplines fully open to boys.
